Practical information for the press |
| Press conference: Following the VIPs visit to the Sleipner platform in the North Sea, a press conference will take place in the lobby of the Grieg Hall aprox. 2:15PM. The press conference will be lead by Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg. |
| Accreditation: Please ensure that you wear your media accreditation card in a clearly visible position when you are in the Grieg Hall. |
| Cameras: There will be space available for cameras and photographers, and audio output at the back of the main hall, Peer Gynt Hallen, (where the high level part of the conference will be held). |

| Satelite-van: For live position, 1 DSNG fully redundant, including 1 camera playout machine J30 Multiformat will be placed outside the Grieg Hall. Media will cover the cost for usage of the satelite-van themselves. We are able to reach the following satellites: -eutelsat W1/W2/W2A/W3A -Sirius 4 -Eurobird 4 -Intelsat 10-02 -Atlantic bird 1/3 The conference will provide satellite truck (up-link) with play out and live stand up possibilities. Play out: XD-cam and DV-cam Live Stand up: photographer with XD-camcorder and wired microphone (SDI with embedded sound through coax-cable to up-link position) How to book: 1: Contact Mr. Dag Eine (email: dag.eine@gyro.no or mobile: +47 907 97 753) and book “play out” and/or “live stand up”. 2: When you receive booking information for the up-link from Mr. Dag Eine. Contact Telenor (email: bookings@telenor.com or phone: +47 22 77 58 00) to book satellite time. (You can book satellite time through other agents also) Registration number for satellite truck(up-link) is: Eutelsat NOR035. 3: Satellite specifications must be with the up-link operator minimum 30 minutes before transmission. |
| Dedicated photo spots: Dedicated spots for photos and interviews, with backdrops, has been set up in the Grieg Hall. |
| Press centre: The press centre will be in the Troldtog room in the Grieg Hall. It will offer around 15 desks for the media, with access to a wireless network and a limited number of landline ISDN telephones. Fax and photocopying facilities will also be available. Computers and telephones will not be provided as it is expected that media will bring their own lap-tops and mobile phones. Voltage is 220V, power plugs in Norway have two round pins. Media need to provide their own adapters if they use different voltage and plugs. Conference staff will be present in the press center at all times and will provide assistance in copying, etc. Opening hours of the press center: Wednesday 27 May: 08:00 – 19:00 |
| Entrance/security: All media are reminded that anyone entering the Grieg Hall on 27 May is subject to full inspection by security personell. Any item brought to the Grieg Hall, whether computer, camera equipment or hand-carried bag, is subject to full inspection. |
